This is an anthology of French poetry from the period 1820-1950, containing selections of the work of Baudelaire, Mallarme, Valary and Apollinaire as well as from the work of "minor" poets such Claudel or Cendrars. There is an introduction to each poet, including information about his/her life, their affinities and aesthetics. There is also information concerning significant literary movements, such as Romaniticism, Symbolism, Cubism, Surrealism and Negritude.
