Australia's passionate conservationist and exuberant TV star Steve Irwin was loved all the world over for his massively successful wildlife series The Crocodile Hunter. At the age of 44, Steve was tragically killed by a stingray while snorkelling at the Great Barrier Reef on 6 September 2006.
