"Handmade in Italy" is both a celebration of the materials, methods and designs used by Italian artisans drawn from the traditions which are part of their culture, and a decorative source book of beautiful objects. Travelling the length and breadth of Italy, the author visits skilled artisans in their workshops and talks to them about their designs and craftsmanship. These include a silk-weaver from Florence, a glass blower from Murano and a ceramicist from Sicily.
